B&K Construction’s mission is to provide a safe working environment to ensure our employees go home to their family every day, injury free. To help prevent safety hazards, all of our salary employees are CPR/First Aid Certified and are OSHA 30 certified. In addition, B&K has a program instilled to financially reward safe behavior for individual employees as well as per project.

Since our inception in 1978, B&K has strived to provide excellence in construction with an emphasis on innovative construction methods, high quality control standards, and responsiveness to our customers.

B&K’s quality of work, coordination with the project owner, and effectively completing projects on time is evident due to the numerous performance awards and recognitions the company has received.

Performance Awards & Recognitions:

  • 2018 Dan W. Renfro Partnering Award presented by the Mississippi Valley AGC for the South Claiborne Avenue Covered Canal Phase II Project. B&K best exemplified the principles and success of project partnering with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

  • 2005 Certificate of Appreciation presented by the U.S. Army for our exceptional emergency response after Hurrican Katrina. B&K mobilized forces and commenced work to plug the breaches within 5 days of the hurricane.

  • 2001 Buildings and Parking Concrete Project of Excellence for Canal No. 3 Improvements project presented by American Concrete Institue. This award recognized B&K for outstanding and innovative use of concrete products.

  • 1999 Certificate of Appreciation presented by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for outstanding performance in construction of the Gardere Canal Improvements project.
